Children aged 4–6+ who benefit from a calm, structured learning environment that builds confidence, emotional regulation, early learning foundations and readiness for early years primary. Families often join when their child needs extra support with transitions, attention and focus, participation, communication, routines, social skills, fine‑motor development or feeling confident in 1:1 learning setting.

Families often come to me when their child needs a little extra support to feel confident, settled, and ready for early learning or school. This program may be a good fit if your child would benefit from gentle support with things like:
building communication confidence
strengthening emotional regulation
joining in with others or navigating social moments
developing early‑literacy foundations through sound play, language, and hands‑on exploration
managing transitions or new environments
practising the everyday skills that help children participate meaningfully in kinder or school settings
You don’t need a formal referral or diagnosis — just a sense that your child would benefit from a calm, relationship‑based space to grow their foundational skills.
If you’re unsure, we can chat through your child’s strengths, interests, and support needs to help you decide.

Children with additional needs are very welcome in the program. I support many children who benefit from extra time, structure, visual supports, or a gentle, relationship‑centred approach.
If your child uses AAC — such as a speech‑generating device, PODD, visuals, or key word sign — they are encouraged to bring it along. I’ll follow your child’s lead and use their preferred communication method throughout the session.
The program is designed to be flexible and responsive, so your child can participate in ways that feel safe, regulated, and authentic to them. You’re welcome to share anything that helps me understand how your child communicates, learns, or engages best.
There may need to be a few sessions to support the use of communication devices with us as all devices are individualised.

Many children take time to feel comfortable in a new space — and that’s completely okay. We follow your child’s cues, keep transitions gentle, and build trust at their pace. There’s no pressure to join in straight away; we focus on helping them feel safe, settled, and ready to participate when they’re ready.
-
Your child is welcomed gently and given time to explore the space at their own pace. We use familiar routines, visual supports and predictable moments to help them feel safe and comfortable. The first session focuses on connection, confidence and getting to know your child — not performance or pressure.
Children are encouraged to settle in slowly, choose familiar resources and build trust before moving into short, supported learning experiences.

Each session runs for 55 minutes, with the last 5 minutes for a calm family handover.
We follow a predictable, gentle rhythm that helps your child feel safe, connected, and ready to engage. Everything is grounded in early‑childhood development, relationships, and the everyday capacities children need for a confident transition into early learning.
A gentle, regulated start:
We begin by helping your child settle, connect, and regulate at their own pace.Communication + early‑literacy foundations (through play):
We weave communication and pre‑literacy skills into hands‑on, child‑led experiences — sound awareness, vocabulary, sequencing, turn‑taking, joint attention, and noticing patterns in language. Always playful, never mainstream or worksheet‑based.Participation, independence + school‑readiness:
We support the everyday skills that help children feel capable in early learning settings:
• simple routines
• flexible thinking
• transitions
• shared participation
• emotional regulation
• problem‑solvingA calm finish:
We wrap up gently and share a brief update so you know what your child explored and enjoyed. We end with a gentle wrap‑up to support a smooth transition out of the session. Families receive a brief handover so you know what your child explored, practised and enjoyed.
-
Each session runs for 60 minutes, which includes:
55 minutes of face‑to‑face support
5 minutes at the end for a brief handover and questions
I also complete 15 minutes of case notes after every session. This is required for NDIS participants and optional for private families, billed at the same hourly rate.
Sessions run weekly during the term and exclude public holidays, so families are never charged for days when the service is closed.
-
This is a term‑based program (except for end of year holiday where we return earlier in mid January) and once a family books a place, that spot is held for your child for the full term. This helps create consistency, predictability, and a stable routine for children.
Families are locked into the term at the time of booking, and all scheduled sessions for the term are billed — even if a session is missed — as your child’s place cannot be filled mid‑term.
Makeup classes
Families are entitled to up to two makeup classes per term, provided:
at least two business days’ notice is given
a suitable time is available
Makeup classes are not guaranteed, as they depend on availability, but I do my best to offer options when possible.
Public holidays are excluded from billing, and no session is scheduled on those days.
This structure ensures your child has a consistent place in the program and supports smooth planning across the term.
-
Because this is a term‑based program, your child’s place is held for them each week. This means that missed sessions are still billed, as the spot cannot be offered to another family mid‑term.
Families are welcome to request a makeup class when their child is absent. Each family can access up to two makeup classes per term, provided:
at least two business days’ notice is given
a suitable time is available
Makeup classes are not guaranteed, as they depend on availability, but I always offer options when I can.
Public holidays are excluded from billing, and no sessions run on those days.

I understand that afternoons can be busy and things don’t always go to plan. If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the scheduled time so the next child’s session can begin smoothly.
Your child is always welcome to join in as soon as you arrive — we simply continue from wherever we’re up to.
Because this is a term‑based program and your child’s place is held each week, late arrivals are billed as a full session.
If you know you’re running behind, a quick text is always appreciated so I can prepare the space and support your child to settle in calmly.
-
Most families choose drop‑off once their child feels settled and comfortable. If your child needs you nearby at the beginning, that’s completely okay — we take a gradual, child‑led approach. You’re welcome to stay for the first few minutes or remain close by until your child feels confident. Our goal is to support a smooth, positive transition at their pace.
For group sessions, we do ask families to wait in our waiting room. This helps us maintain a calm, safe and comfortable space for all children participating.
-
Yes — as long as I know in advance who will be collecting your child. For safety, please text or email me the full name of the person who will be picking up your child that day. They must be over 16 years old.
They’ll need to bring their photo ID (driver’s licence) to the session so I can confirm their identity before your child is released into their care.
If no prior notice is given, or if the person collecting your child cannot provide ID, your child will remain with me until I can reach you for confirmation.
This process helps keep every child safe and ensures a smooth, predictable end to the session.
-
Yes — we ask that children use the toilet before their session begins. This helps minimise disruptions and allows us to make the most of our time together.
If your child needs to go during the session, that’s absolutely fine — we’ll support them calmly and respectfully. Taking them beforehand simply helps us start smoothly and stay settled.
-
If it helps your child feel settled, you’re welcome to bring:
a comfort item
their communication device (if they use one)
any important information from home or other supports that may help us understand how they’re going that week
A drink bottle is always helpful, but not essential.
The space is set up so your child can arrive, settle, and engage without needing to prepare or carry anything extra.

Yes — we welcome self‑managed and plan‑managed NDIS participants. Families can use their NDIS funding to access School Readiness support, and we align our pricing with the current NDIS pricing guidelines. If your child is NDIS‑funded, we’ll guide you through the simple steps to get started.

Our core work is delivered through 1:1 sessions, where children have the space, time, and support to engage in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful for them.
This format allows us to follow their cues closely and shape each session around their individual developmental goals.
We occasionally offer small‑group experiences during school holidays, depending on interest and suitability. These groups are intentionally small and thoughtfully matched, giving children opportunities to practise shared participation, communication, and early‑learning foundations in a gentle, supported way.
Group options are offered only when they genuinely meet the needs of the children involved and when demand allows.
-
Yes. For NDIS participants, I provide the documentation required for NDIS compliancy. This includes:
Session case notes
Completed after each session to outline your child’s engagement, emerging skills, and the developmental foundations we’re supporting. These typically take around 15 minutes and are billed at the standard rate of $193.99 per hour (pro‑rata).
Outcome reports
Prepared when needed to summarise your child’s progress across the term or plan period. These usually take around 1 hour and 30 minutes and are billed at the same hourly rate.
For private families
Case notes and outcome reports are optional, but if requested, they are billed at the same rate as NDIS: $193.99 per hour (pro‑rata).
All documentation is written in clear, family‑friendly language and stays within my scope as a school‑readiness practitioner.
-
Invoices are sent after each session and include the session time, case notes, and any annual or termly fees if due.
Private families
Private families can choose to pay by bank transfer or credit card.
If you choose bank transfer, payment is due within 5 business days.
If payment hasn’t been received within that time, the outstanding amount will be processed to the credit card on file.
This keeps the admin simple and ensures your child’s place in the program remains secure.
NDIS families
Self‑managed and plan‑managed invoices are sent through Halaxy. No GST is applied to NDIS‑funded sessions.
Makeup sessions & missed sessions
Makeup sessions (if available) appear as a separate line on your invoice. Missed sessions are still billed, as your child’s place is held for the full term.

Once you’re ready to begin, we’ll send you a simple intake form and service agreement. These help us understand your child’s strengths, support needs, and the goals that matter most to your family. They also allow us to set up your child’s place in the program, including NDIS billing if relevant.
After the forms are completed, we’ll confirm your session time for the term and finalise your child’s start date. This ensures everything is organised, predictable, and ready for a smooth transition into the program.
